| “I know both Ruth Ann and Jim to be sane, quiet and humble people who go about their daily task of living with simplicity and faith. They love their family and the children they teach in the public school system. Both are people of deep faith, loyal to the Church and its tradition, and faithful in prayer. “From the beginning, Ruth Ann has shared with me her experiences in prayer and the Messages from Mary. Some were for her personally, some directed to our parish prayer group, and some were more universally intended. To the best of my ability, as her pastor and spiritual director, I have tried to discern what is happening in these experiences, and interpret them through the wisdom of the Catholic Church. “In my capacity as pastor, I, personally, find nothing in them contrary to the faith of the Roman Catholic Church. More positively, they have strengthened the faith of many who have heard them. They repeat the Gospel call for a conversion of heart, a life of prayer, and an abiding awareness of God’s immense, unconditional and faithful love for all. They echo the prayerful heart of Mary, who always leads us to Her Risen Son within the community of the Church.” Ruth Ann Wade’s prayer life has deepened as the Messages have increased. Her daily prayers include attendance at Mass and reception of Holy Communion, Holy Hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, Scripture reading, and recitation of the Rosary. In addition to receiving the Sacrament of Penance frequently, often weekly, she follows the recommendations of her Spiritual Director as to her spiritual reading. Ruth Ann and Jim continue to be active in their parish by attending religious services, and by serving on various committees. They continue to play an active role in the lives of their three daughters and the six grandchildren. Although Ruth Ann recently has been asked not to be visible at the “Farm”, Jim continues to be involved in all aspects of Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center. |
